Our apple wedger was a vast improvement over the competition in regard to usability and safety.
The original ask on the brief was an apple wedger with an adjustable center that could accommodate various size apple cores.
I went back to the beginning and saw an opportunity for improving the function as well improving safety for the consumer.

Problem: Apple wedgers do not push the apple all the way through the blades. This is a safety issue when trying to remove the apple through the blades.

Once the original design was completed it was patented and we applied it to other versions for our other brands and pricepoints
