New silicone lid designs continue to show up on the market. In prior years, the lids were mostly about esthetics and more recent versions added functional elements for stacking, venting and to add visibility by including clear silicone areas.
Silicone lids also align with movement to reduce waste and single-use plastic item

Development
Developed multiple silicone lid pattern concepts, balancing aesthetic appeal with functional performance. The final raised rib pattern allows the lid to function as a trivet. The radial ribs would allow a pot/ pan to sit flat with without tipping on the raised central handle.
Many competitors have a protruding center handle that does not fold down, and they cannot be used as a trivet.
Costco
1n 2025, a set of 10 lids were sold at Costco and received very good reviews.
